10 minutes to prepare and 7 hours to cook


  1. Grill the sausages to get some colour on them.
  2. Brown the meat & place straight into slow cooker.
  3. Dice 2 onions & brown for 5 mins.
  4. Add garlic cook for 2 mins.
  5. Add to slow cooker.
  6. Chop 4 large carrots into chunky pieces, dice 2 sticks of celery, add to slow cooker with chunks of sausage, 1 tin of tomatoes, 275ml of beef stock, add some rosemary.
  7. Stir then put on low or medium so it is ready for tea. Add mushrooms (250g) 20 mins before the end.


  • 900g stewing beef
  • 250g chicken sausages
  • 2 onions
  • Garlic
  • 4 large carrots
  • 2 celery sticks
  • 1 tin of tomatoes
  • 275ml beef stock
  • Rosemary
