What grade of stainless steel is used in Thermos® products?

We only use 18/8 food grade stainless steel in all our products.

What material are Thermos® hydration bottles made from?

We use BPA-free Eastman Tritan™ for the bottle, polypropylene for the lids, a silicone O-ring to prevent any leaks and an LDPE (low-density polyethylene) straw.

Are Thermos® products safe?

We test all our products to meet EU regulations for insulated products in contact with food (EN 12546-1:2000 and substances for very high concern (REACH SVCs including BPA)

All Thermos® products are free from BPA, BPS and asbestos.

Are Thermos® products ethically sourced?

All Thermos® factories are regularly audited by third party auditors in accordance with BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA standards.

How should I clean my Thermos®?

Most of our products are top-rack dishwasher safe, but we still recommend washing by hand to maintain the finish. Never use bleach or any cleaner that contains bleach on your Thermos® product.

Are Thermos® products suitable for dairy?

Yes! Thermos® products will insulate dairy items, but be cautious of spoiling times due to the increased risk of bacterial growth. We would not recommend storing for prolonged periods of time.

Are Thermos® products suitable for carbonated or fizzy drinks?

No, there is a risk internal pressure can build and cause the lid or stopper to leak or be ejected.

Are Thermos® products suitable for food?

Yes! In fact we have developed flasks with a wide mouth and spoons specifically to allow food to be eaten directly from them. See our food flasks in the flasks section.

How do I get the best temperature retention from my vacuum insulated product?

For maximum thermal efficiency, preheat or precool the product just prior to use. Fill with hot/cold tap water, attach lid, stand for 5 to 10 minutes and empty water. Never use a microwave, conventional oven or other heat source for this purpose.

How do I know if I have a genuine Thermos® product?

Only genuine Thermos® products are allowed to carry the Thermos® name. If you are in any doubt please contact us at support@thermos.co.uk

Delivery FAQs

When will my order ship?

Orders are usually despatched within 24 hours of receipt.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard delivery is free for UK orders.

Next day delivery (only available for UK mainland orders) is £6.50.

How long will it take to arrive?

Standard deliveries are sent via Royal Mail 48 service and will be delivered within 2-5 working days. The majority arrive within 48 hours however some may take longer.

Next day delivery orders must be received no later than 2pm for delivery the following day.  Deliveries will take place between 09.00 – 18.00. You will receive a 1 hour delivery slot via email or text from our courier.

Note:

  • Orders received after 2pm Thursday will be despatched Friday to arrive Monday.
  • Orders received after 2pm Friday will be despatched Monday to arrive Tuesday.
  • Next day delivery is not available when the following day is a bank holiday. Deliveries will be placed as soon as possible thereafter.
Do you ship outside of the UK?

Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to countries outside of the UK.

Payment FAQs

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payment via Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or Paypal

How secure is my payment data?

All online orders are encrypted using Barclays ePDQ or the PayPal security system depending on your choice of payment method.  Your data will be managed on the secure server according to our agreement with each company.  We cannot keep records of your credit card details.

How are the prices quoted?

All prices are shown in GBP and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless clearly stated otherwise.

Returns FAQs

Can I cancel my order?

Orders are usually despatched within 24 hours of receipt. If during this time you wish to cancel your order please email or telephone us. If we have received payment for any goods cancelled, we will arrange refunds. If you change your mind after 24 hoursof receipt of your order acknowledgement please use the process below to arrange a return.

Can I return my order?

If you wish to return an item for any reason, we will provide you with a refund or replacement without fuss. Please notify our Customer Service Team within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery by contacting customer.service@thermos.co.uk

 When returning please note:

  • Ensure a copy of your invoice is returned with the goods and where possible please include tags and any packaging.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that the item is packaged carefully. Failure to do so may result in your return being refused and/or any refund due being reduced.
  • We cannot accept any return items which have been used.
  • The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.
  • We recommend you obtain your receipt as proof of return from your local Post Office.
  • Please do not return any items that were purchased from another retailer.

Any returns which are after 14 days are at our discretion.

What do I do if there is a fault with my product?

If you believe your product to be faulty, please return the item to the retailer where you purchased it, with proof of purchase, where under your statutory rights, you are entitled to a replacement or refund, within a reasonable time period.

In addition, on certain Thermos® brand products, Thermos® offers an extended guarantee that for up to 5 years from the date of purchase, they will be free from defects in material and workmanship. Details of whether your Thermos® product is covered by an extended warranty are contained in the instruction sheet supplied with your Thermos® product.  If an extended guarantee applies this is also listed in the ‘Features’ area of the product listing on the website. 

If you wish to make a claim under the manufacturer’s warranty please contact customer.service@thermos.co.uk

Please note that we do not accept any costs in relation to product returned to us under this warranty. Once we have received the product, we will, at our option, repair or replace the faulty product with the same or an equivalent product. This manufacturer’s warranty is in addition to and in no way infringes your statutory consumer rights.
