We regularly enjoy these cooked from the BBQ in the summer months. They are delicious sliced up in pittas with tzatziki and red cabbage. If you like the heat, add some chilli sauce! They can also be wrapped up and taken on your adventures or the chicken could be added to a Thermos UK food flask too!

to prepare and to cook


  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and marinate for at least 6 hours
  2. I try and do 24 hours to really get the flavours in to the meat.
  3. If you add yoghurt you will get a milder flavour.
  4. The chicken will almost have a coating. These can then either be cooked on a grill, or a rotisserie.


  • At least a dozen chicken thighs skinless and boneless
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1tbsp paprika
  • 2tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp oregano
  • 4 crushed garlic cloves
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Optional: large tub of Greek yoghurt
